Piñata is a sparkling rosé pét-nat from Marlborough, New Zealand, made from a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.
The idea behind the wine was fresh, fizzy, tropical and a little mischievous, so the name Piñata felt like the perfect starting point for the artwork.
For the illustration, I wanted to capture that moment when you hit a piñata and everything inside suddenly bursts out. I imagined it as a character exploding with confetti, colour and all sorts of unexpected things: vibrant, playful and with just the right amount of chaos.
